Phoebe read Green Eggs and Ham before bedtime tonight. She read the whole thing out loud, with only minimal hints from me.
We were really impressed by how expressively she read it, too. (Mind you, we haven’t read the book to her in ages. Probably many months.) Maybe soon we’ll manage to get a video.
Phoebe selected a fancy outfit to wear for dinner last night. She has style, that Phoebe.
Phoebe participated in her first board breaking seminar today.
That board didn’t stand a chance.
A couple of years ago, Phoebe became quite taken with the video for the song “Do they know it’s Christmas?” She called the song Dee-doh. (Because this is how the end refrain went: “dee doh woh,” at least that was how she sang it. Others may choose to sing “feed the world.”)
Yesterday at dinner, Phoebe recalled this:
“I used to say “dee-doh” a long time ago. I laugh about that nowadays.”
Phoebe has really been enjoying drawing lately, and we have been enjoying seeing what she comes up with. Here are a couple of drawings she did a couple days ago.

Phoebe got to go to a pre-Halloween party with daycare. Is she the coolest firefighter ever, or what?
Phoebe got her yellow belt today, after having tested for it last week. We all got to go to the ceremony.
Theo looks on:
